WORKFORCE SOLUTION - SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW ADVICE ...
Preparation is the key if you wish to increase your chances of a successful interview, the better prepared you are the more confident you will feel. Getting an interview means that the company is already interested in you. It is your opportunity to prove that you are the best person for the job, and this involves some work before you go.

Here are some helpful tips and questions you may wish to think about before attending interviews:
Obtain as much information on the company and job as possible
Research company website and literature
Where applicable obtain product knowledge
How you present yourself at interview will have a big impact on the person interviewing you. If you look professional, competent and confident ...you will feel it!

Business suit, clean and ironed shirt and a suitable tie (where appropriate Workforce Solution will advise of alternative dress code)
Clean shoes with closed heel and toe
Hair neat and tidy
Jewellery to be kept to a minimum
Just a splash of aftershave or perfume
Good personal hygiene including fresh breath and clean nails
Do not smoke before the interview
Do not eat strong smelling foods before the interview
This is not a myth, it does matter. Our body language tells others everything that our mouth does not say.

Your behaviour the moment you walk in will be watched by someone (Receptionist / Security)
Reading company literature will take your mind off the interview but also demonstrate an interest in the company. It may also give you some useful details on the company
When greeted, smile and offer a firm handshake
Do not slouch, sit upright and be relaxed
Do not fiddle or fidget
Take the lead from the interviewer as to whether the style is relaxed or formal
Regular eye contact is particularly important throughout the interview
Keep your hands in your lap and avoid touching your face
If offered a drink always accept even if you are not thirsty. Not only is it polite, it also gives you the opportunity to think whilst taking a sip
Make a question relevant to the conversation and where appropriate show that you have researched the company.
